About the Tutoring Group

Current curricula include a great number of courses; a high percentage of them are the student’s own choice: Elective and Complementary Elective courses.

From periodic assessment made within the different degrees in the Science Faculty, it has been concluded that many students are disorientated when it comes to choosing this kind of courses, specially during the first years:

Which is the best choice?

What are “curricula”?

The Tutoring Group tries to solves this questions by making you aware of the different options through which you can define your CV (through periodic seminars and continuous attention at the Student Attention Office), as well as it tries to monitor your path at University, throught various interviews with your assigned lecturer-tutor, which will help you being aware of you problems which heshe will help you solve.

It counts on the collaboration of the Science Faculty’s Dean’s Office and the Students Vice-Chancellor Office.
Tutoring
To achieve better results, in the Science Faculty, we choose to assign a Lecturer-Tutor to the new comming students. This way, through their first year, every student has at his/her disposal someone to guide them and help them with any problems or doubts.

Every lecturer tutors various students and has a notebook containing general advice and cards for the invidicual monitoring of the students. Currently, the Tutoring Gruop is developing a Tutoring Tutorial to help lecturer-tutors in their task.
